Coordination Fee Policy
This policy explains the coordination fee charged when your case is accepted for round scheduling. Please read carefully before submitting a case.
What is the Coordination Fee?
The coordination fee is a non-refundable administrative platform fee collected by The Black Trust Fund, except as required by applicable law or expressly approved by TBTF in writing. This fee covers round coordination, proof verification, contribution tracking, and platform operations.
How You Fund This
A coordination fee may be paid to TTBTF for case administration and platform operations. The coordination fee starts at $100 and is tiered based on your requested goal amount. Full details are provided to members upon case approval.
Restore The Trust Initiative
A portion of coordination fees may be allocated at TBTF's sole discretion to support the Restore The Trust Initiative, an internal TBTF program supporting African American men recently released from incarceration with reentry costs. This allocation is made at TBTF's discretion and may change at any time.
What Payment of the Fee Confirms
Payment of the coordination fee confirms that your case has been accepted for round scheduling consideration. However, it does not guarantee full funding, partial funding, or any specific round outcome.
TBTF community rounds depend on member participation and Trust Pledge contributions at the time your round opens. TBTF will use commercially reasonable efforts to support the round, but no outcome is guaranteed.
Non-Refundable Policy
The coordination fee is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or expressly approved by TBTF in writing. Once the fee is paid, it confirms your round has been scheduled and platform resources have been allocated.
If TBTF determines that a case does not meet scheduling requirements after payment, TBTF may in its sole discretion either:
- Decline to schedule the round with no refund, or
- Offer a refund less any non-recoverable processing fees
By Paying the Coordination Fee You Acknowledge
- The fee is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or expressly approved by TBTF in writing
- Payment does not guarantee funding
- A portion may support the Restore The Trust Initiative at TBTF's sole discretion
- Round outcomes depend on community participation
- TBTF's scheduling decision is final
Difference Between Membership Fee and Coordination Fee
Your monthly or annual membership fee covers access to the TBTF platform and community — your pillar journey, your Trust Pledge, your community profile, and all platform features.
The coordination fee is a separate administrative fee charged only when your case is accepted for round scheduling. It covers the operational costs of running your specific round. Payment of the coordination fee does not replace your membership dues.
